I've been living with this shutter which is indicative of the first generation TDI's for almost two years. I mostly do highway driving so it hasn't been to bad. It's just when I hit the big cities that's it's a pain. My solution is to block the vacuum line going to the EGR valve. Well I just tested it and the shutter is gone. Other than listening to people rant on about the increased NO2 from the TDI Club will it have any adverse effects on the car or is there a better solution.
The EGR valve is leaking oil to the outside. I'm hoping that the lack of movement of the valve will stop it from leaking. If not is the only solution replacement. $200+

Hi
oil coming from bottom part of engine together with rest scavenge, not from EGR,
I block my EGR completely in ECU program and in mechanical connection
