My 86 winter Jetta is showing signs of needing some parts. The fuel injection system braided injector line ends are getting very, very rusty. I think it's the rust that's holding them together.
I know the Rabbits fuel injection system is on the drivers side of the vehicle, while the MK2 Jetta is on the passenger side, so I assume that there is some differences between the distributor head and possibly the lines.
Does anyone know how the injector system is set up on the MK1 Jetta's and if the distributor head and lines are the same for the earlier 1.7L motors (86 has the 1.8L) at the 1.8's, or do I need to stick with the MK2 Jetta/Golf systems? Just trying to do some homework before I have to make a purchase. If anyone has a system that they want to part with that's not rusty, let me know.

Must not be many running old gas VW's these days on this forum. Anyone have a Mk1 car that could measure their injection lines and post the results?

Re: MK2 CIS Injection Line Interchange
I'll try to remember to measure the lines on the '87 Jetta GLi when I get home.
I might have some Rabbit gasser lines to compare them to.
