I've noticed that the activity on postings seems to go in spurts and dry spells from time to time. Don't know if it's migration by people to newer vehicles, to other sites, or just that people aren't necessarily having as many problems.
Everybody else lists their cars here - but not me.

I have too many to count

There was a bit more traffic here when another board was down for a spell.
Have a nice day.

Could also be that many folks have been out on end-of-summer vacation trips (with or without a diesel VW!) & just having too much fun to post to the forum.

There's enough information built up on here that most people can find a fix using search.
When someone posts a question it does get answered pretty quick and complete.
The 1.6 IDIs are becoming more rare.
Even vwdiesel.net is kind of slow lately.

with the current "low" fuel price, people easily forget about the value of the ol' vw idi. A good time to snatch up another one for safe keeping.

There's lot's of people out there that just don't want old VW's around. I was in Lethbridge VW a few years back to get a part I just couldn't get anywhere else. I ask the parts man if they had any Mark 2 TD's on the lot. Well just at that moment the owner walked by and replied that we try to crush all of those. I was stunned and got stuck for words. That doesn't happen to me very often.+|#@*&^%?><-

Very few people know how to work on them and few people want to buy a non-running VW diesel.
Fuel prices are low.
About the only people we are competing with are the scrap yards and scrap is low.

He drove this car off the lot. They had no respect for it.
That's nothing.
This guy gets the deals. You would laugh if you saw his farmyard. Pickups everywhere and a even true TD Rabbit project.
People call me when they have something for sale. If I don't want it I call Bill. I met him at an auction where there was a couple Rabbit diesels.
I teach him things and help him fix em right.
He's got all the parts I need so I don't have to keep them around cluttering up my place.
