Hey guys. Got my rebuilt 1.6 TD swap up and running! I ran it for about half an hour then shut it down to let it cool and retorque the head bolts. I was looking at the Bentley and noticed it said to do the first retorque while at operating temperature. So my question is, should I run it again up to op temp, or should I just go ahead and retorque them now cold?

When I do the retorque I use a beam-style torque wrench.
I only retorque until the beam quits moving, usually around 90.
If the wrench is turning but the needle isn't moving it means the bolt is starting to stretch.
It's supposed to stretch but once it starts stretching that's the max it will hold. Stretching it more won't hold it down better.
