WTB: 1.6 non-turbo downpipe flange

Post by 30dodgeboy »

Does anyone have (or know of a source) for the downpipe flange that attaches to the exhaust manifold of a 1.6 NON-turbo engine?

A good used one would work if not rusted.

Is it available in Stainless steel?

Thanks

this one is concave and seats up against a spherical gasket on the manifold.

Guess that makes it the toilet bowl style???

I think the gassers used them too,.. if I'm wrong someone correct me.
So maybe someone on vwvortex classifieds would part with one.
Did you check any local muffler shops? Maybe Midas has them.

good pint on the midas thing

I assumed that gasser flanges would likely be rustier due to higher operating temp

Mine is a little pitted, but I think it'll last a while. Won't last as long as the stainless downpipe I welded to it though...
