KevinS'S Golf Mark II TDI build ||Finally ready
Heyhey
New to this topic so lets introduce my Project.
85* Golf Mark II 1.6 GTD with ic (84hp)
Exteriour:
-Repainted in Audi Teakbrown
-US rearlights
-French Headlights and foglichts (yellow)
Suspension:
-Supersport coils
-Full Poly bushing
-Mk3 widetrack rearaxle
Brakes:
-Full mk3 brakes (front and rear) with a 25mm maincylinder
Interiour:
-GL brown front seats , rearbench and doorcards
-Hard brown dash
-A b C styles n headliner retrimmed in brown alcantara
-Alu rollcage
-Turbo , oilpressure , watertemp , etc gauches.
-...
Wheels:
-Porsche Cayenne Highgloss black
-185/35/17 Nankans NS20
Engine:
-MK3 110 AFN stock internals
-BV43 Turbo
-FMIC
-60mm straight exhaust
-R520 Injectors
-Custom ECU programming
-Wather/Methanol soon
@ +-200bhp and 470-480nm torque

That's a beauty.
A MK2 TDI is on my list of dream cars.
The MK2s are disappearing fast. I don't think people like them the way they do the Rabbits but they are a nice upgrade in size, they are a smoother/quieter ride on the highway and have a better interior.
The Golfs are more rare than the Jettas by a longshot so I'm glad you saved a Golf.
I like 4 door golfs just because of the easier access to the rear seats.
With a roll cage the back seat doesn't matter much.

'84 1.6TD Rabbit with a VNT-15 turbo, still setup to run on vegetable oil.
'84 GTI with 1.7TD pistons and intercooled.
2003 TDI wagon
2000 TDI Jetta.

Thx man! Spend a lot of money on rebuilding the damn thing ... In a year or 2/3 im gonna the whole car again starting from clean metal . replacing all bad panels , full epoxy bad , repaint , etc .... Probabbly a faster TDI engine

Looks like your swapping in a ahu. How about the instrument cluster and wiring harness. That's the part I find a bit of a challenge to say the least. I've always dreamed about a Passat Estate wagon ahu swap. I have the donor car all I need is 2000 hours or more to do it. Oh ya I forgot about a wagon.

The Italian designed Mk II Golf got be to one of the most beautiful thinks on the planet. This one is done up right. Nothink goddy. I see a lot of walking from the far end of parking lots in your future and maybe a good alarm system.
