What is the correct oil pressure range for an early 1981 1.6l diesel?

A friend of mine told me 8psi at the head is enough to hold it together. Keep in mind, that is a minimum. Not sure what the specified pressure is.

That should work for oil pressure at idle.

Bentley states at least 29 psi @ 2000rpm. Low pressure warning should trigger at 2-6 psi. More specs in the engine chapter, sec.8, pt V.

There are tests for the pressure warning system in the manual also... Engine chapter, section 7
Have a nice day.
