WTB: A new set of standard 76.48 piston rings

Post by Fatmobile »

I have a short block that I need to do something with.
There's no ridge on the cylinders at all so I thought I could get away with just throwing a head on it.
But when I pulled the pistons to look at the rings,.. there were no rings, ha.
I'm wondering if someone has a set of rings sitting around that they will never use.
If not then I'll buy some new ones,.. but thought I'd help someone clean the shelves.

I think they are over sized since I was rebuilding my Golf when I ordered them.

I'm sorry I bought a set of standard grants. Forgot to update the thread.
Too bad I was in such a hurry. I was sure someone had some NOS sitting on their shelf.

I am taking the guts out of one block (cracked) and putting them into another here this summer.
Don't know what size they are so I might be getting back to you.

Hard for me to tell by the numbers you listed exactly what size yours are. Either .50 over or standard.
