diesel motor oil shortage coming to a neighborhood near you.

Looks like there is a huge shortage of additives that are used to make diesel motor oil.
By September you might not be able to get any.

This might also lead to a new/virgin plastic shortage.

A plastic container shortage.

Bastards
A "shortage" in the US is clearly BS. The petro industry is MASSIVE compared to other countries. They're selling it out from under us.

I was buying these up for a while, they were $12 until just recently.

I lucked out and found one 5 gallon pail of rotella T6 for the TDI at fleet farm, with a rebate.

They are opening up the strategic reserve and sending it to other countries.

My local Sam's Club just got a pallet of good 'ol 15w40 Delvac.
Box of 4 (1 gal) at $13 each.
Not great but I don't think it's going to get any better than that
so I picked it up to add to the stash.

I've seen more Rotella T4 and T6 at the local fleet farm too.
It's spendy though.

The good stuff

Walmart has the 5w40 T6 for ~$24.
Napa has a valvoline-made synthetic 5w40 under their fleet brand for $21

Not bad considering the delvac 15w40 is now at least 15 buck or more.
