I saw a windshield washer fluid heater listed in the Canadian Tire sale flier today. Claims it will heat the fluid to 60C degrees to help melt the ice. Didn't say what current it draws. Wonder if it would work to help heat up veggie oil?

We need a guinea pig to try this out. I had the same thoughts on this item when I seen it. For fifty bucks it might be a item to get you switched to veggy faster and help out in the cold.
