Clearing out the garage, there's some good MkI stuff in here so check it out.

The parts shown on this page are what remains of a 1979 VW Rabbit I parted out last summer. It was a red 4-door car with a gasoline engine and a 5-speed transmission. Most parts will also fit diesel Rabbits, or gasoline or diesel Jettas made before 1985 (A1 or MkI body style). Some will also fit Volkswagen Dashers, Golfs, Quantums, and later Jettas from the '70s and '80s.

All parts shown here are for sale, and I have more that are not pictured also available. Parts are available immediately for local pick-up, or the buyer can pay for shipping from Seattle, WA. Early Rabbit taillights and rear bumper. I have 2 of the taillights now, one left and one right. These are the "small tails", more attractive and desirable than the wider ones that came later, and hard to find in this good condition. Fits '75-'80 Rabbits, or later cars with some modification. $25 each, or $40 for both. The rear bumper is straight and has all trim, a couple surface scratches but no dents, looks fine. $20

2 rear door cards for '75-'84 Rabbit 4-door or '79-'84 Jetta 4-door. Red in color, near perfect condition. Chrome trim is a little flaky, easily touched up. Super clean and not faded, both look great and are ready to install. $10 each

Air conditioning compressor off of an '84 Rabbit diesel. Pulley spins free, otherwise, function is unknown. Has been sitting for a few years. Assume it needs rebuilt, but should be a good core unit. Bracket available too. $10

One axle shaft--driver's side I think, it's the shorter one. Perfect condition, was rebuilt just a few days before car was totaled. Boots, joints, etc all in almost new condition. Fits gassers or diesels, A1 Rabbit or Jetta. $35. Radiator fan and shroud also available, works fine, $40.

3 mud flaps, VW OEM. I don't have the fourth one unfortunately. Good condition. Very rare items, hard to find. $5 each

4 early FWD VW chrome hubcaps. These fit the standard VW steel wheels, found on Golf, Rabbit, Jetta, Dasher, etc. All hubcaps are in excellent shape and look great on the car. Sold only as a complete set; OEM attachment clips included. $40

Steering wheel and passenger's side taillight gone, everything else still available.

Also forgot to mention: Rabbit/Jetta/Vanagon locking gas cap, good shape, works great, key included. $5

FYI, the steering wheel, rearview mirror, hubcaps, axle shaft, and one taillight are gone at this point. The rest is still available.

aah, duh, my fault. I was staring at taht and assuming that you clicked on the person's name instead. Duh.

ANyway, I was interested in the now-gone axle shaft.

Do you ahve any of the door hardware- my latch mechanism (not the handle which is easy to find new, but the actual metal stuff with the latch on it) is broken on pass. side of 84 Rabbit.
