Parting out '86 Golf, ntx
Hit hard in the front left side. Low 87K miles, lots of good stuff cheap.

I was hoping you may have been in Dumas or somewhere a bit closer to SE Colorado. I own two A2 GTI's and with the price of fuel was thinking about a diesel swap on one of them. It's hard to find anything VW let alone diesel around here.dsm wrote:I had plans to use the 1.6NA diesel engine/tranie in my VW PU but, I think I may have taken on too many projects lately.
So, I'm open to offers for the whole car.
BTW, It has 62K (not 87K) miles and is NOT rebuildable. Lots of good parts though.
Its located 60 miles north of Dallas.
Thanks

parting out
Is it 2 or 4 door? if its 2 door are the rain rail weatherstrips that run up the windshield and along the roof in good shape (not sun rotted or cracked)? If so I'd be interesested. How much?

need part for '85 diesel jetta
I'm looking for the piece that connects the crank case to the vaccuum hose ... the vaccuum hose leads to the brake vaccuum booster.
The piece is a flat angular sheet of steel with three bolts securing it to the block. This piece has a barb (5/8?) sticking out, which connects to the vaccuum hose.
It's pictured below:
