WTB Front strut housing

Post by mrbfh »

I am in need of a front strut housing for my '82 Rabbit. I believe they are the same left or right, but in case they're not, I need the left side.

I don't need the shock insert or spring, just the strut housing. Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks

Blaine

strut housings

Post by Fatmobile »

Some housings have caps that are threaded inside and thread onto the outside of the strut housing.
Some housings have inside threads. The inside thread strut housings are on American made Rabbits so that's probably what yours are.
You should check just incase a previous owner swapped them.

Yes, my housings have inside threads. Thanks for pointing this out, Fatmobile.

Thanks for the response. I was able to get one from a guy on the Vortex.
