Well, I never thought I'd put her up for sale but I just don't have the time to work on it and I need a more "Family oriented" Vw diesel such as a Jetta or Golf.

1978 vw rabbit diesel
4 door
White w/tan interior ( interior is in great shape)
1.6L 4 cyl diesel
5 speed trans

I bought the car from the same family that bought it new. It has approx 90K original miles and is very solid. It has some surface rust but it will clean up nicley.

The bad:
Hit left front. Pushed in the fender and bent the control arm. The damage isn’t really that bad, the grille is ok

Car includes all the parts needed to repair including alot more I decided in my Obsessive compulive wisdom:

• New left front fender
• Rebuilt control arms with new polyurethane bushings’
• New ball joints
• New tie rod ends
• Rebuilt Gti struts ( Front and rear)
• New front bumper ( still in package)
* Rebuilt front spindles with new bearings


In addition I purchased the following items for the project that I would consider including:

• 4 Gti snowflake wheels
• Gti front air dam
• Gti steering rack
• Gti front seats ( VERY good shape)
• Extra FF code 5 speed transmission
• Gti center console with gauges
• Spare right front fender


Also included if the deal is right, I am finishing up on a 1.5 rebuild that includes
• New cylinder head
• Rebuilt injectors
• Rings
• Main bearings
• Crank bearings
• Intermediate shaft bearings
• High vol oil pump

* Also have a rebuilt VE Bosch pump with 1000 miles on it and 4 rebuilt injectors.
