Like to say thanks for the tranny advise. But found a 1.6td in a 86 jeta.would like to know what would be the best trans to match it for the van. Also is the 1.6td that much better than the 1.6na in the van. once again thanks

If you have an 82 with the stock 4 speed, then the DK from an air-cooled is the best gearing without having to swap all of the linkage. Yes, the 1.6TD is THAT much bettwer than the n/a and more...
