Some testing required, but why not adjust pump pressure to suit timing?
The only thing I can think of that could go wrong is if I just punch that pressure adjuster down until the timing advance is right, I might set the pump for too much internal pressure.
Not sure how much pressure could cause seals to leak or put extra strain on the vane pump, shaft and timing belt....etc.
Andrew, the Ferret 765 has a red LED on it that flashes whenever the timing light is triggered.
I would really like to use it to trigger a sensor and use it with a crank position sensor and laptop to see how timing is working while going down the road. Right now it's just an idea but it wouldn't be that hard to put together.
