Gas Put in my TDI.....

I have a 2000 Jetta GLS TDI. I lent it to a friend to drive, who put gas in
it (!!!!!!!)

The mechanic has wiped out all tanks, replaced all filters, all the normal
stuff you would do. Twice. The electronic guy put it on the computer, and
it returned a 17656 (I think). No power, blue smoke coming out the exhaust, cutting off. etc. They switched it back to 'diesel' (apparently it flipped to 'gas', or something), I brought it home yesterday, it ran OK.

Got in it this morning....no power, cutting off, blue smoke coming out the
exhaust, all the same issues it had when it got put back in the shop to be analyzed.......what needs to be done to fix my little car so I can drive it
again? It's been over a month now!

Help......I love my car, and want it back in good working condition.

>Thanks.
