Clear fuel lines

Post by 91 NA »

After reading all the posts referring to clear fuel lines on the pump, I find that even the dealer says its no longer available, and my local independant says they haven't seen it in years.

Anyone know of a source, or suitable substitute?
Tygon?

I have been using the cheapo stuff that a local farm implement store has in town. It's like 25 cents a foot or something like that. They have rolls of vinyl tubing in various sizes there. No leaks so far.

vinyl and polyethylene here for 2-3 years, no leaks. Use rubber fuel line between the vinyl line and the hose clamp to get a better seal.

Yep, can't clamp tubing well so slide a piece of rubber tubing over it first. most of the time you don't even need a clamp, a piece of 3/8" rubber fuel line will slide tightly over 1/4 vinyl tubing.
