No Timing mark on the Flywheel or Clutch Plate Aargh
I went to change my timing belt today and cannot find the timing mark on the clutch plate/ flywheel. The marks on the pump and cam pulley's are there and lined up but I have nothing to go by on the crank. I would have been nice to mark it before removing the belt but it's too late now. Any ideas?
I was able to get past the tip of the glowplug but whatever my dial indicator landed on it wasn't moving. I see what you mean now. The glowplug was blocking my path to the opening. Duh. Not realizing this I took the oil pan off and boy I'm glad I did. My guess was way off. The first rain of the season topped off a fun filled day. Thank you very much for the advise.

I think Hagar suggests a dipstick for this.
Thin enough to fit down the hole but still stiff enough,.. and it's something that most of us have readily available.
