Placement of second battery on a Diesel Westy

Post by 82Caddy »

I,m thinking of putting the second battery under the driver seat due to it's proximity to the galley and fuses. Is there any reason to put it under the passenger seat instead?

Driver's side would be "standard" since the wiring in a Westy is already there, under the seat.

it should be a deep cycle one for running the fridge and stuff right?.... in which case you should use a charger/ controller to charge it since it is a different type of battery and it is being changed/ added.....

if you were to add a normal cranky cell you should change the other cell to so they get can old together.
