Hagar, I did test the battery as you told me to. Checked voltage at the battery before and during cranking. (in 2 vehicles)

How do you explain that I do NOT get a voltage drop when I unplug the connector? How would a battery have ANYTHING to do with that?

It turned out that the cleaning of connectors and started didn't help much. At first it felt like it did...

AFAIK there is no starter relay, the solenoid is just that, a relay.

When the signals stay solid and don't flash, this can often mean that the hazard light switch is not working. Do you have it disconnected? If it's not connected the turn signals do this exact thing. I only had a heat gun and it was just hot enough to get the new bearing in so maybe around 200-250C whatever that is in Fahrenheits.

I cut mine, not all the way thru though, and used a punch to break it. A chisel will do the trick too, maybe even better than a punch.
