The hardest part of doing the other end is getting the rubber gromit out. Once you take the center conceal out to expose the cable you will see. Take the cable off the hand brake then try and force cable out the bottom. Then go underneath and pull some more. Thats where you will find the gromit that...

I just scored two relays at the wrecking yard. They are both German manufactures. I was wondering if anyone knew the numbers of the slow and fast. The two I have are 24.4100.10 and 24.4100.00. I'm hoping these are the right relays because they came out of the 6 and 12 fuse box slots and they have th...

Sounds like air in the fuel line. If you have a clear line before your IP you can rev your engine and check for bubbles. If your don't it's a good time to get one. The first thing to do would be to check for loose lines on the filter and IP. If you hear air rushing in your fuel tank when you take th...

I think it depends on where you live. Its all about temperature. If you live in Florida 500cca should be fine. If you live in Northern Canada maybe 1000cca would be better. I live in South Alberta its not real cold for very long and a 720cca seem to work fine. Batteries lose a lot of their power wit...

I just check mine and I got 10.5 volts. I'm using a newer optima cca 720. I had a real starting problem with his car for awhile but now its good. One of the glow plugs was reading 50 ohms. Usually when they fail they fail to open but not this one. I sure made it hard too start. I think voltage is a ...

My guess would be you have a big floater that can't make it through the restriction at the nozzle and your pushing it back but the fluid keeps pushing into the nozzle again. If you take the hose off below the nozzle maybe you can blow it out backwards with compressed air or can of contact clear with...

I've only read about one other diesel aircraft engine. I think the reliability and torque would be better then a gas. They always take about power weight ratios with these engines and in the past gas was the only way to go. But with some of the newer diesel like the R10 Audi things have changed. One...

That really takes me back to the time I bought a skidder with 4-53 Detroit. I had a ¼ section at time and did a bit of clearing. Plus sold some fire wood. It was the ultimate four wheel drive. Straight front axle on the front and Detroit lockers on the back. They all come with blowers and some have...

Their's a guy in Edmonton bring in Mercedes 300D's with steering on the left side from Germany. Once cars are seven year old its expensive to past safety inspections over their. So he just has to out bid eastern European people who don't have these inspections. There's also a few outfits in BC that ...

I've straitened pump shafts before. By supporting them on each end and pressing down on the high spot. I think shafts are quite a bit easier then a head would be. But if you had a useless warped head around it might be worth a shot. Your machinist might be on to something with his heating process. S...

No Alternator
Has anyone tried to eliminate their alternator with a Peltier Junctions. These are the devices in a Kool-a-tron cooler. I guess one side get hot and the other gets cool went current is applied. In reverse if heat and cold are supplied on opposite sides current will flow. So if you can mount them som...
