It doesn't have to leak a lot to make the fuel drain from the pump, all it needs is a hole for air to enter and the fuel will be siphoned towards the tank.
Look for damp spots on the IP and around the small rubber lines between the injectors.

Check the seals in the IP, especially the one at the sprocket end.
