Good call! I cracked the lines as per bleeding instructions and cranked it for five ~7-10 second intervals. Only the far right injector ended up w/ fuel, and every time I stopped and checked 'em I saw little air bubbles rising from the IP to the filter. If the seals on the pump are the cause can I e...

For what it's worth the clear line from the filter to the IP has fuel in it.

And... It won't start.

Not even with a heat gun stuck in the intake tube. I parked it a couple months ago and took the insurance off of it because it was leaking enough fuel to drop to ~20-30mpg. Could the pump just not be building enough pressure, or is it more likely GPs being out? The IP solenoid checks out, and ...

I did that w/ my mobile one filters, but the cost of the champion labs filter wally's world buys/rebrands is just too cheap to not replace w/ the oil.

Hi Chaps; Is there any chance of posting what vehicles these filters are normally associated with [ a small selection if it's endless  ] This will help me over this side of the pond The ST3614/3600 are used on Toyotas w/ the 22R/3VZ engine, maybe even 5S too? Look for something that has 3/4&q...

Huh, if the PH8A works on these motors the ST16/ST8A will probably work, and maybe even the ST3600/3614 since the difference in gasket size is small.

Ah cool. I was kinda worried about having to tear apart my head, but if it can be either/or my guess is that I busted a compression ring or two one of the times I misused starting fluid. Only way to tell is to take it apart I suppose.

Oil inthe air box...

Does this only happen w/ worn valve guides or can it happen with bad rings too?

Not quite. I'm asking if I could bore/ream the cylinder out to some size between standard and .010" to insure it's round, lets say adding .002-4", file fit and *chamfer the edges of a set of .010" rings, and be able to run the engine safely for some amount of time, obviously less than...

Just for the sake of curiosity, lets say I hone the bores out until they're round, and this is between the two piston sizes. If I file fit a set of oversize rings, could I also turn down the edge thickness a RCH to account for the difference in radial tension from using the file fit oversize rings?

So long as it's within tolerance I think it would work. I mean, it probably won't be as great as a bore/new pistons/rings, but it'll probably be better than just reringing only to have it leak again within a few thousand.

Quantum-man does this mean that I can go with any combo of standard/.02/.04 rings and pistons when I rering the engine, as well as file/turn down some rings in order to get an intermediate size?
