What coke said... Move the pump to get the socket on and to speak to the danger of cracking the bosses in the head...... Be careful to push the injectors in such a direction as to place peak forces on the top head side and (more importantly) the bottom of boss for the injector threading. When puttin...

Engine light at high temp
Hello folks.... I have been getting this engine light flashing (the light in the temperature gauge) at times when the engine is working hard(highway).... when ever it flashes I slow down... so it got me down to 80km/hr with the heat on in the van. I did a search for the bottle jack injector tester... google found the link but when it tried to open it the site said topic does not exist. Anyone kno...

It there smoke when it starts up eh? How much? I think there is good chance your cam timing is off now that you have a new timing belt. Folks reading this please correct this if I'm wrong. I don't know what the engine would do if the cam was off..... besides the notorious and terrifying valve slam! ...

Oh yea.... I too think the tensioner tools is a cheap must.... making it is a good idea since it is sometimes hard to find metric tools. If you make it... keep it thin/ flat so the 15mm wrench can fit securely on the nut. My tensioner is adjustable and it's annoying for it's, blocking the nut, girth...

I expect that you have read the Bentley timing instructions or at least the how to time the cam section. First off you can't really time the engine accurately without removing the cam pulley. Just a change in tension of the timing belt can significantly change the position of the cam. So as long as ...

It's not so hard to check for air bubbles eh? Just change the hoses for clear fuel resistant hoses. Start the engine, rev it a bit and watch for bubbles in both the intake line from the filter and from the out bolt on the back of the pump (where the small hoses from the injectors connect to.) Bubble...

no air in the fuel lines? Return too? Your sure right? Others on this forum are better qualified to comment on this forum........ Have you checked the injectors? What is the history of that engine? You could check the amount of vacuum in the intake fuel line to see what the value is. If your really ...

next time you have your instrument panel off.... clean the contacts for the main multi-connector on both sides being careful not to remove any of the thin metal printed circuit. You could use alcohol or any suitable contact cleaner. I think the trouble is in the connections. Be sure the nuts on the ...
