turbos only use a small amount of oil for lube and cooling the bearings there is only a small hole in the fitting at the pump ( a restrictor) in the line TO the turbo. the pressure can build to over 100 PSI in the line if it is plugged so use some common sense when capping it ... the return line onl...

there are special tools for the purpose. ( deep tube sockets ) measure and mark old inner and outer assy at joint/nuts. remove the outer tie rods remove the bellows boot ( rubber thing ) slip the "tube socket" over the inner one tie rod loosen lock nut (inner socket joint) assemble the old...

use methyl hydrate from wall mart in the paint department.. and that rain drips onto the fuse box and its internals.....put a piece of plastic bag over the fuse box till you get it sorted out.... or you will have to replace the fuse box down the road ...

spray paint the old lower A arm and joint assembly... (top and bottom) undo the pinch bolt on the steering knuckle...and lower the lower A arm remove the 3 bolts and nut holder assembly pound out the old joint push the new one in and align the new nut plate with the painted area. tighten the 3 bolts...

not that difficult, with 2 people, suction cups and a clean well buttered opening with the real adhesive.

sounds about right ... anything over 2 years and the units weld themselves together with rust. ( oh well, its best to replace the steel lines at the same time anyway)

PONY pumps make several 12V impeller units that could be modified to suit.
make sure the seals and impeller are the viton versions for high temps and antifreeze.

some slop is normal , it gets held in place by a bearing in the end of the crank ... you end up with very little when installed .... don't sweat it

by "spins freely" , do you mean the top of the bolt that the bit fits in is stripped? if so , just hammer out a 4" nail till its flat... cut the end of the nail off flush ... put it in the stripped bolt head first, then pound the bit in beside it ... this should tighten the fit enough...

seal it all up (any leaks reduce the heat in winter) wide white foam used to stop house door drafts at those 1/4"gaps.
