Resealed IP will not fuel nozzles

Howdy Folks, Well I did the amazing o-ring trick (with many thanks to Andrew Libby) and sealed the cold start, throttle shaft, what I think might be a mechanical shutoff (it contacts the governor lever). I sealed what ever I could reach without pulling out the governor etc. This about a 307 Bosch TD...

The lower spring that does the returning I see as the two lower springs.... they act together. The top and nasty spring (for me) was the spring that gives so you don't break your throttle cable by stomping on it! The top one is the cursed one. Btw what is the little one for? I have four springs and ...

Has anyone tried making your own spring for that nasty thing? I have mine on my table now (hopefully I'll have time to fix it soon) but I am seriously going to try some other set up... it looks terrifying!

Maybe it's not so bad if you have the magic touch?

You have to buy or make a puller..... look at the home made tool section for an excellent dyi welded puller. You can buy them at any auto supply store.... just make sure it's wide enough to pull on the out side of the pulley.... (three arm pullers are better for the gear)

Herman I guess thats the last thing to check now.

I can't imagine the air getting so hot that it can smoke anything peticularly when passing over the fuel tank  But yes it is something to check out... I have looked down the ducting and it appears clean but I have yet to check the check valve.

I hope your right.... a couple of hours Andrew? I will try it. The other thing I was thinking is that the relays might be a bit strange. There is at least one weird relay .... double polled relay with the same pin arrangement as a normal one (87 + 87a alternating on)(double is:87a+87 both on or both...

Question.... was answered by your previous (first message) so the yellow/bk wire is to be insulated and not used as is the violet (appearing black under my light) good. The pumps might be reversed as you said... will correct if need be today. The fuel output from the hose at the glow plug is one sma...

That's right Andrew.... I'm thinking I have a fuel leak from the glow plug/ fuel atomizer thingy and it leaks down the outside of the combustion chamber (within the air heating side of the furnace.) Also I might not have it wired right. Maybe the pump is on all the time..... constantly pushing 12v a...

Just to be clear the smoke is not coming from the exhaust. The smoke from the exhaust is black and there is not very much of it. The smoke in the van is white and takes a few minutes to start smoking. After five - seven min. it really gets billowing (from the main air out in the floor of the cab). M...

Thanks Herman... I will try the taking the pumps off one at a time. I think it is fuel somehow leaking down around the combustion chamber or the chamber is literally flooding with fuel and leaking down to the inside air side of the furnace. I did not pressure test the chamber itself... the top of th...

Hello folks... The good news is that my furnace works! The bad news is that it still smokes.... a diesel van hot boxed with diesel fuel.... lots of it non stop this time! It will run continuously and produce think billowing clouds of diesel smoke (seems totally unburnt like it's dropping into the ho...
