I asked Jack if his plugs were Duraterms, but never received a reply. Does anyone know if his are? If not, can someone list a supplier of Duraterms? I don't believe that this would be a violation of the forum rules if Jack doesn't supply them...

Any idea what the part number is? I was just about to post asking someone the same question. Mine were completely gone when I removed the pump.

Fill til it shuts off... clean a window... fill til it shuts off... clean another window... repeat til all windows are clean... (don't forget the quarter windows) Or you can try doing a slow trickle which would not foam - and any foam that did form would have plenty of time to break. What would Myli...

There's a Navy Exchange by the Pentagon/Navy Annex. The biodiesel and E85 are open to the public.

Injection Pump resealing - torque question

I'm resealing my IP and wondering what I should torque all the bolts to. I'm used to the "if you don't know - use 7.5 ft. lbs." but wanted to ask for others opinions.

I know I can just do 7.5 on everything - then if something leaks, go farther...

Thanks!

woah woah woah, bad head gasket? I don't see the connection. We're talking about the hose that runs directly to the top of the expansion tank right? The coolant doesn't trickle out of that hose or anything, but it also doesn't flow in a steady stream. It comes out at a strong, fast pulse. Bad head ...

Usually you'll use the same thickness as before; however, sometimes the previous mechanic used a 3 hole because they didn't want to take the time to measure and you can always use a 3 hole. If the previous one was a 3, best to double-check and get the right one.

I wouldn't want it here in the DC area since everyone drives like they are in NASCAR and get upset if you can't go 0-60 in less than 10 seconds. Needless to say, they have to wait on me. Isn't the DC area great?!? I love it when I'm pulling away from the toll booth and they zoom around me to go 70....

I used two allen wrenches and went around in a circle breaking the bolts free... To break the last one free, I put vicegrips on a loose bolt to hold it... however, reading the suggestions here, I think I would have gone with the screwdriver, or a prybar of some sort. Next time...

Couldn't get the lower timing belt cover off due to the water pump pulley being in the way, not sure how to get around that other than taking off the pulley, or removing the water pump. Anybody have any suggestions on the easiest way to do that in future? I had the same problem and came to the conc...
