you'll have to do something about the oil return hole... there is an adapter for it, you'll find it on Jack's website, the valves should not matter

sounds like your throttle is binding/getting stuck... in the worst case scenario begging to run away, do you have any blow by????

did you use a dial gage for the Inj. Pump and timed it as per Bentley or you just lined up all the marks??? because if the car fired right away, the timing might be ok, but because of the bogging my guess is that you might be a little on the advance side...
