Take apart both oil pumps and use the pump with the longer gears (height-wise). The plastic can and should be transfered to the pump you are using.

I believe the exhaust valves shouldn't be ground because they are hollow and filled with sodium.

I had similar problems and it was a tiny hole in the fuel supply line. You should still test for the plugs but I would also make sure all hose clamps are tight and there are no cracks in the fuel lines.

You could just get new nozzles, which is much cheaper than new injectors. Glowplug in cylinder 2 may be burned out and maybe more.

I have a spare pump with a lot of play that I brought to a machine shop with bushings to get reamed. Job ended up pretty sloppy. At least the bushings are cheap so I will try again at another place.

So a gauge up to 180 PSI is enough? Is it ok to use an oil pressure gauge or do you need a special type of gauge?
